Vintage

While my Mom didn't save a ton of my baby clothes, I luckily did. You see, I have a horrible habit of not throwing away anything. I have hoarding tendencies that I hope Charlotte will some day appreciate. As much as I would have loved to wear my mother's incredible 1970's flowy dresses from her sorority formals, she didn't save A THING! So, now, I have tons of boxes of all my old prom dresses in hopes that vintage is cool in about 16 years. We'll see. I mean, who wouldn't want to wear a lycra two piece, white dress with silver glitter down the front in 2027?

The good news though is that I never would let my Mom give away my old dolls and some of these old dolls were wearing my own baby clothes. Success! Charlotte has vintage baby clothes and she looks oh so cute in them!

See, Mom? Now, do you see why I threw that hissy in 7th grade about keeping all my stuff for my someday daughter? ;)

Daddy and Baby

It's no secret that Charlotte looks just like her Daddy! They are so cute together! To prove their preciousness...

I mean, really? So stinkin' cute!! I love seeing these two peas in a pod together.

There's just something about Charlotte's Daddy that always bring a smile to her face. She thinks he is soooo funny.

   Daddy and Booger

Helping Charlotte ride Birdie around the house. So fun!

Helping Dad e-mail. Must be very serious.

Hi! This is fun! Thanks for helping me play.

We can't even believe that Miss Charlotte is almost four months old. She's been keeping us on our toes this month...a mix of what we think is teething, a growth spurt and tummy aches has made most nights a little sleepless. That's ok though, baby girl, we are happy to come visit you during the night to give you back your paci, but what if we make it like twice a night instead of five or six times a night? :)

Charlotte's Reflection

I always read that babies love to look at their reflection, so one day we showed Charlotte her precious little face in the mirror during "wake times." When we first started when she was six or so weeks old, she had no interest in herself, she only wanted to look at Ryan and me. She would smile at us and just glance over at herself. But, now....

Ta da! My little brown eyed girl loves smiling and talking to the baby in the reflection!

Hi baby Charlotte! Some people say they don't recognize themselves until they are nearly two years old!? All I know is that Charlotte sure thinks looking at the mirror is fun!

Can we please talk about the bald spot? It was so cute and small at this moment and now it is nearly double this size! We crack up watching her rub off all her hair on the video monitor while she is stirring in her sleep. I have to restrain myself and not run in there and stop her. I know, so vain, right? The bald spot is officially huge! :)

The Past 3 Months...

...have been incredible, life changing and more than anything, very blessed. I've enjoyed soaking in all of these fun and at times, challenging moments. Here are a few of my favorites caught on camera. To think, this time last year, I was so very pregnant and had no idea. What a difference one year makes...thank you sweet Charlotte Jean-Claire for making us smile!

Family of 3! I'll do a post on Charlotte's birth story soon!

Charlotte's first trip to the beach at 5 weeks old. So thankful we captured this moment!

What in the world do babies dream about?? So cute!

Here's Miss C when she was nearly two months old. She loves her baths!

Thanksgiving Day!  Gee was "stealing" her paci from her. Charlotte thought it was very funny. :)

Someone loves smocked dresses. Me! I can remember wearing them when I was little and I'm so glad they are back in style. So stinking cute!

This was just the other day. Charlotte loves talking to her Daddy. They crack me up with all the goo's, oh's, and keh's (this sound is hard to spell out phonetically but a Charlotte fave!). Love them.

Happy New Year Everyone!
