5 Months!!

I can't believe Charlotte is 5 months old already! I know, I know, such a cliche thing to say. Everyone says to enjoy every moment because it goes by so fast, yada, yada.  I kinda thought they were talking about older kids. Like, once they are in elementary school or something. Nope, let me tell you, it's every age. Charlotte (maybe just to me and Ryan) is such a big girl.

Here's what she is doing now for memory's sake:

1) Smiles and giggles at the doggies all the time. She loves her little furry playmates, but is that a surprise since her Momma and Daddy have to be surrounded by canines at all times? :)

2) Rolls over onto her tummy from her back now. She's been rolling over from her tummy to her back since she was 5 or 6 weeks old (often times though she still cries though until we roll her over). In the past week or so, she has enjoyed playing with her toys on her tummy and just this morning, she rolled over. Go girl!

3) Sticking her tongue out while playing, giggling, talking, smiling or even getting mad. Unless she is being serious or sleepy, she is playing with her tongue. Cracks us up.

4) Reaches out for people to hold her. Melts my heart everytime!

5) Finally enjoying solid foods. I tried for a while with rice and oatmeal to no avail. Stage 1 baby foods were only ok and then she had enough after a couple weeks. If she saw the spoon, chills went up her spine and she gagged. Poor baby. Then, one day, I just gave it to her cold. SUCCESS!! Baby likes her food cold...don't even think about warming it up. :)

6) Sleeping pretty well. She does wake up once or twice and I usually feed her one time a night because I know that will put her right back to sleep quickly. If not, a quick paci re-insert will do the trick. She is doing sooooo much better than waking up 10-12 times a night. Yes, 10-12 times a night. Horrible. We were zombies.

Some recent pics of the little boogie:

Her new trick and she's so proud of it.

My little brown-eyed girl!

Sporting her TCU socks and TCU purple clothes!

She spotted Isabelle...
which makes this little picture taking session in comparison no longer fun...

and she's out. The End.
